BIOMOTIVE Stakeholder Group focuses on the implementation of new materials in different vehicles, notably cars, buses, coaches and trains. The group is led by UITP within the project and the the objective of the group is to contribute to the exchange of feedback and to clarify industry expectations through independent expertise. The group will consists of approximately 15 industry representatives, particularly bus OEMs rail interior suppliers, research institutes, transport associations and lobby organisations at the national level as well as media organisations interested in the implementation of new materials such as door handles, interior fascia and vehicle seats, with the aim to replace fossil-based with non-biodegradable counterparts.

The Stakeholder Group meetings take under the umbrella of an EU funded project called BioMOTIVE. BioMOTIVE aims to produce new materials with an increased bio-based content (60-80%) on an industrial scale offering enhanced technical performance, improved environmental profile and economic competitiveness.

In addition, members of the Stakeholder Group is entitled to up to 650 € reimbursement per meeting and also invited to some project meetings and demonstrations.
